TL;DR

Kinfolk, a London-based HR tech startup, has raised £7 million in a growth round led by AlbionVC to scale its agentic AI platform that executes HR tasks directly inside Slack and Microsoft Teams. The company reports 5x annual recurring revenue growth in 2025 and counts Deliveroo among its customers.

Beyond chatbots to autonomous execution

Kinfolk’s platform differs from conventional HR chatbots by performing actions rather than just answering questions. Its AI agents can draft documents, update HRIS records, and manage employee lifecycle changes across systems without handing work back to humans. The company claims the platform autonomously handles up to 80% of Tier 0-1 employee requests and saves customers roughly 45 days of HR time per year.

Customers include Deliveroo, Hudl, and RetailNext, companies that have either displaced or augmented tools such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, and Jira with Kinfolk’s platform.

Founding team and backers

Co-founders Jeet Mukerji (CEO) and Kim Hellbom previously worked on enterprise AI products at Beamery. The round was led by AlbionVC with participation from PROfounders Capital and existing backers Ascension and Emerge. OysterHR founder Tony Jamous joined as an angel investor. Total funding to date stands at approximately £6.3 million.

AlbionVC partner Paul Lehair said: “We believe Kinfolk is set to become the backbone for the next generation of HR and workforce operation teams.”

Looking forward

The raise reflects a wider shift among UK and European startups from conversational AI toward agentic systems that act on behalf of users in enterprise contexts. Whether Kinfolk can satisfy enterprise requirements around data governance, auditability, and HRIS integration will determine how fast this model scales beyond early adopters.
